Volvo Ocean Race

For the first time, the City of Stockholm hosted the Volvo Ocean Race in June 2009 and the Race Village was located at Skeppsbron right outside the doors of the BCG Stockholm office. In 2008, The Boston Consulting Group was appointed to assist The Volvo Ocean Race in defining the strategy and develop the right capabilities and skills to achieve the goal to make the race the world’s premier sailing event - in terms of both commercial and sportive measures.
